FBI Deputy Director Confirms Comey’s Story That Trump Ask For Loyalty

Deputy Director McCabe testified to House Intelligence Committee that Comey told him Trump asked for loyalty pledge.

A new report confirms that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified to the House Intelligence Committee that former FBI Director James Comey told him about conversations he had with President Trump, including Trump’s request for a loyalty pledge.

The testimony was first reported by CNN which noted that McCabe confirmed, during his testimony this week, that Comey told him about conversations he had with Trump after they occurred.

McCabe told the committee that Comey also told him about Trump’s request for loyalty, according to CNN.

“The testimony suggests McCabe could corroborate Comey’s account, including Trump’s ask that Comey show him loyalty, which the President has strongly disputed. Comey previously testified that he briefed some of his senior colleagues at the FBI about this conversation with Trump,” CNN notes.

Comey testified to Congress earlier this year that Trump demanded loyalty from him. “I need loyalty. I expect loyalty,” Trump said, according to Comey.
