Top GOP Candidate Just Abruptly Dropped Out Of Ohio Senate Race
Republican’s may have just lost one of their top targets in 2018.
Ohio Republican Josh Mandel just announced he is dropping his Senate bid, citing his wife’s health issues.
Mandel was challenging Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown and was considered to be the GOP’s best chance at unseating the Ohio Democrat.
Mandel made the announcement in a letter to supporters on Friday.
“Understanding and dealing with this health issue is more important to me than any political campaign,” he wrote to supporters.
“For as long as that takes, whether it is months or years, it is important that I heed my dad’s advice and be there for my wife and our kids.”
