Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators will likely interview President Trump within the next several weeks, a report by The Washington Post confirmed Monday.
The Washington Post report confirms an earlier NBC News report that reported the president’s lawyers were negotiating the terms of a potential interview.
According to The Washington Post, a person close to the investigation told says that Mueller could interview Trump on a limited number of questions.
“This is moving faster than anyone really realizes,” the person said, who spoke to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity.
