Deputy Attorney General discusses Russia’s “information warfare” during the 2016 election.
On Friday, a federal grand jury in the District of Columbia handed down an indictment against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for violating U.S. laws to interfere with US elections and political processes.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who oversees Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation made a statement and answered questions about the grand jury indictments.
Rosenstein called the Russian election interference “information warfare” and detailed how Russian agents stole identities of U.S. persons as part of their elaborate election interference campaign.
