Democrats In New Hampshire Just Flipped Another Republican District
This is the 38th special election pick up that Democrats have made since Trump was inaugurated.
Democrat Phil Spagnuolo won a special election in New Hampshire’s Belknap County District 3 on Tuesday night, notching another special election pick up for Democrats.
Spagnuolo beat Republican Les Cartier 968 votes to 841 votes (54%-46%).
Tuesday’s New Hampshire win marks the 38th state legislative flip from Democrat to Republican since President Trump’s inauguration.
The seat was left open after the death of Republican State Rep. Donald Flanders last September.
Donald Trump won the district 54-41 margin in 2016, and four years prior Barack Obama carried it by just one point, 50-49.
DLCC says Democrat Phil Spagnuolo has won in the New Hampshire special election for HD Belknap-03, defeating his Republican opponent in a district Trump won by over 12-pts in 2016.
This is the 38th seat to flip from red to blue since Trump’s inauguration. https://t.co/xqrfyi4PAx
