Michael Cohen Used Trump Org Email To Negotiate Porn Star Payoff
Trump’s story on Stormy Daniels payoff is falling apart.
NBC News has obtained an email contradicting the White House storyline on the porn star payoff.
Donald Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen used his Trump Organization email account to arrange the $130,000 porn star payoff, according to a new report.
The revelation, first reported by NBC News, is just the latest piece of evidence contradicting Cohen’s claim that he negotiated and paid out the settlement on his own, without the knowledge of Donald Trump.
As NBC reported, Cohen “regularly used the same email account during 2016 negotiations with the actress — whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford — before she signed a nondisclosure agreement.”
And there is additional evidence that Cohen was acting in his capacity as Counsel to the Trump Organization, rather than as a personal lawyer.
“Clifford’s attorney at the time addressed correspondence to Cohen in his capacity at the Trump Organization and as ‘Special Counsel to Donald J. Trump,'” NBC notes.
Trump’s attorney and the White House have tried to distance Trump from the Stormy Daniels affair, however, every day we are getting new evidence that the Trump story is falling apart.
