FBI Raid On Trump Lawyer Sought Evidence On Access Hollywood Tape

FBI agents who raided Michael Cohen’s office were seeking evidence that he suppressed damaging information about Trump during the campaign. 

FBI agents who raided the office of President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen were seeking records related to the “Access Hollywood” tape released shortly before the 2016 election, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The agents wanted records related to the 2005 tape in which Trump talking about grabbing and kissing women without their consent.

The revelation that FBI agents were seeking information relating to the Access Hollywood tape suggests that the Justice Department has evidence that Trump or his attorney knew of the existence of the Access Hollywood tape in advance of its release and attempted to block the release.

FBI investigators also were looking for any evidence that Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, had tried to conceal damaging information about Trump during the election.

According to the New York Times, the FBI was also looking for information about payments made to women who have accused Trump of extramarital affairs, including porn star Stormy Daniels.
