Trump Just Replaced Russia Lawyer With Bill Clinton’s Impeachment Lawyer
Trump’s Russia legal troubles continue to mount.
President Trump’s top Russia lawyer Ty Cobb is stepping down, according to a new report.
The New York Times was first to report that Trump is replacing Cobb with Bill Clinton’s impeachment lawyer Emmet Flood.
Flood represented Clinton during impeachment proceedings.
The White House confirmed that Cobb would be leaving at the end of May.
The hiring of Flood was reported in March though Trump denied the reports at the time.
Cobb is not the only top Russia lawyer that Trump has lost recently. John Dowd resigned from his position in March.
Trump has had tremendous difficulty attracting top-tier legal talent to represent him with several top law firms declining to represent him since the Russia investigation began.
