Russia And Syria Were Given Advance Warning Of Missile Strikes: Reports
Reports indicate that both Russia and Syria were given advanced warning about Trump’s missile strikes.
Donald Trump is fond of saying he won’t announce his military plans to the public in advance so as not to tip off the enemy. But multiple reports now indicate that the U.S. in fact tipped off the enemy prior to the missile strikes Trump ordered.
According to a report, Syria’s armed forces were warned about the air strikes hours before the missile strike accord on the Shayrat airbase, the AFP reports.

The AFP notes that a Syrian military source said, “We took precautions in more than one military point, including in Shayrat airbase. We moved a number of airplanes towards other areas.”
And other news reports confirm that the U.S. also gave the Russians advance warning of the strikes.
According to a Pentagon spokesperson,”Russian forces were notified in advance of the strike using the established deconfliction line. U.S. military planners took precautions to minimize risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.”
All of this begs the question – exactly what was the purpose of Donald Trump’s airstrike? The answer is likely just a publicity stunt meant to make him seem big and strong.
It’s important to remember the context for the missile strike, Donald Trump is having the worst start to a presidency in recent memory. His entire legislative agenda is stalled. His Muslim-bans keep getting blocked in the courts. His approval rating is lower than any other president at this point in their presidency.
So how do you change the subject? Show how big and strong you are by launching so missiles and blowing some stuff up.
