Republican Congressman Tom MacArthur Faces Angry Constituents At Town Hall

In what would have otherwise been a leading news story but ended up being drowned out by the story of Trump’s firing of James Comey, Republican Congressman Tom MacArthur faced a room full of angry constituents on Wednesday.

“This is your health care bill,” a man said to Republican Tom MacAarthur. “It was dead in the water and could have stayed dead in the water. It was done.”

“This is your amendment, sir,” the man continued. “Because of that MacArthur amendment, you brought it back from the dead, with that amendment.” “It’s yours,” he said. “You own it.”

“You came after my wife!”

Another man delivered a barn-burning, heart-wrenching and emotion-filled speech about how devastating the Republican Obamacare repeal bill would be for his family if it becomes law.

“You came after my wife!” the man shouted. He told the Congressman about his wife who had cancer and his two children who also have pre-existing conditions that are now at risk because of his vote to repeal Obamacare.

Another man blasted Tom MacArthur over his protection of Donald Trump’s Russia ties.

“I’m concerned that I have a president that praises Vladimir Putin,” he said.
