78 Percent Of Americans Want Independent Russia Investigation

A new poll has very bad news for Donald Trump on Russia investigation.

Republicans in Congress have been desperately trying to block any independent investigation into Trump-Russia conclusion but the American people are very clear on the importance of an independent probe.

A new NBC/WSJ poll found that the vast, vast majority of voters want an independent investigation. According to the poll, 78 percent of voters say that when it comes to the Russia investigation they want an independent commission or special prosecutor.

Jus 15 percent pick Congress, while 3 percent say they want no investigation at all.

Just 29 Percent Approve of Trump’s Firing of James Comey

The same poll found that just 29 percent of Americans approve of Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey. And in an even worse sign for Donald Trump, “among those who say they have read, seen or heard ‘a lot’ about the firing, 53 percent say they disapprove, versus 33 percent who approve.”

And Donald Trump’s job approval rating stands at just 39 percent, another near-record low.

About the poll: The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted May 11-13 of 800 adults – including nearly half by cell phone – and it has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.5 percentage points.
