Donald Trump Is Getting Ready To Lawyer Up
Things seem to be getting much worse for Donald Trump.
Donald Trump seems to be getting worried about the Russia investigation.
According to a report by the Washington Post, Donald Trump is close to hiring an outside legal team to “help him navigate” the investigations into potential ties between his campaign associates and Russia.
“President Trump is moving rapidly toward hiring outside counsel to help him navigate the investigations into his campaign and Russian interference in last year’s election, and in recent days he and his advisers have privately courted several prominent attorneys to join the effort,” the Washington Post report notes.
Trump has narrowed his search down to four finalists: Marc E. Kasowitz; Robert J. Guiffra Jr.; Reid H. Weingarten; and Theodore B. Olson.
The report notes that Trump is “personally involved” in the search, and has decided to hire multiple lawyers.
Trump has consistently said that he considers the Russi investigation to be a “hoax” and “a witch hunt.” But the report by the Washinton Post makes clear Donald Trump clearly feels that he has something to worry about.
The story that Trump is getting ready to lawyer up comes as James Comey has agreed to testify in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee about his firing and the Trump-Russia investigation.
Trump has admitted he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation.
