Trump Transition Ordered To Preserve Russia-Related Materials
More Evidence Special Counsel Investigation Is Ramping Up, Bigly!
The Trump transition team has been ordered to preserve any materials related to the Russia investigation, according to press reports.
In a memo reported on by The New York Times and Politico, Trump transition team lawyer Kory Langhofer ordered team members to “preserve any physical and electronic records that may be related in any way to the subject matter of the pending investigations.”
According to the reports, the records in question include any material related to Russia or Ukraine and any information on certain members of Donald Trump’s election campaign which include former campaign manager Paul Manafort, former foreign policy adviser Carter Page and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
In addition, transition officials must preserve any materials or records related to overseas travel by team members.
The order to preserve materials is likely a sign that Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation is ramping up dramatically.
The preservation order came just hours after it was reported that Vice President Mike Pence has hired a lawyer to represent him in the Russia investigation.
