Marco Rubio Blasts Donald Trump Over ‘Cyber Security Unit’ With Russia
After his big meeting with Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump announced plans to start a cyber security partnership with Russia. Now I know what your are thinking. A cyber security partnership with Russia? It’s sort of like hiring the guy who just robbed your house to do home security for you.
Well, Republican Senator Marco Rubio agrees. He blasted Trump’s plan in a series of tweets Sunday morning.
“While reality & pragmatism requires that we engage Vladimir Putin, he will never be a trusted ally or a reliable constructive partner,” Rubio tweeted.
“Partnering with Putin on a ‘Cyber Security Unit’ is akin to partnering with Assad on a ‘Chemical Weapons Unit.’ We have no quarrel with Russia or the Russian people. Problem is with Putin & his oppression, war crimes & interference in our elections.”
