Special Counsel Probing Trump Jr’s ‘Eighth Man’ In Russia Meeting: Report
Mueller’s team is coming for them.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators are looking into the eighth person who attended the now infamous June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower with a Kremlin-linked lawyer, according to a new CNN report.
The eighth individual at the meeting was identified as Ike Kavaladze, who was the focus of a 2000 Congressional inquiry on Russian money laundering using US banks.
Kavaladze’s lawyer Scott Balber confirmed to CNN, saying “The eighth person has been identified by prosecutors and we are cooperating fully with prosecutors as a result of the investigation. To preserve the integrity of the investigation we are declining to identify him at this time.”
According to CNN, Mueller’s team has not yet interviewed Kavaladze or the Agalarovs who coordinated the meeting with Trump Jr.
