Manafort Owed Russians Millions Before He Joined Trump Campaign

 

We just got an important new piece of information about Paul Manafort’s ties to Russia.

A new report by The New York Times reveals that Manafort owed $17 million to pro-Russian interests before he joined the Trump campaign in 2016.

The report notes that documents filed in Cyprus, where Manafort kept several bank accounts showed that Manafort owed millions through shell companies connected Ukraine for the pro-Russia Party of Regions.

The report that Manafort owed millions to Russia comes at the same time it was announced that Manafort and Donald Trump Jr. are scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee in a public hearing next Wednesday.
