Scaramucci Announces He Will Ask FBI To Investigate Reince Priebus

A war has erupted within the Trump White House.

On Wednesday night, Anthony Scaramucci tweeted out the following message: “In light of the leak of my financial disclosure info which is a felony. I will be contacting @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept #swamp @Reince45”

Scaramucci’s tweet came just minutes after Politico reported that the White House communications director stands to profit from his stake in his investment firm while in the West Wing.

And just a few moments after Scaramucci’s tweet, Ryan Lizza of The Newyorker confirmed that Scaramucci was, in fact, accusing Donald Trump’s Cheif of Staff Reince Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure forms.

Lizza tweeted saying, “In case there’s any ambiguity in his tweet I can confirm that Scaramucci wants the FBI to investigate Reince for leaking.”

Needless to say, the notion that the new White Houe communications director wants the FBI to investigate the White House chief of staff and announcing that publically unbelievable.

Maybe that is why MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tweeted asking “Wait really?”

Lizza quickly responded by confirming.

The Washington Post’s Philip Rucker also confirmed the story tweeting, “Tensions between Scaramucci and Priebus are raw as ever, I’m told tonight. There’s a reason Mooch tagged Reince on FBI leak tweet.”

He followed that up with another tweet, “Some in White House are trying to build a case that Priebus is a leaker — “a diagram” charting leaks, per senior official — to show Trump.”
