Jared Kushner’s Business Just Got Subpoenaed: Report
The subpoena was issued to Kushner Companies over visa program.
Federal prosecutors in New York have subpoenaed Kushner Companies, the real estate company that is owned by Jared Kushner’s family.
The subpoena was issued because of the organization’s use of a controversial visa program that offers wealthy foreign investors a green card in exchange for a minimum $500,000 investment.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the subpoena was issued in May.
The project in question is Kushner’s company’s use of the EB-5 visa program to finance a development in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Kushner Companies came under fire in May after it was revealed that the company had been using Jared Kushner’s senior position in the Trump administration during its pitch to wealthy Chinese investors in Beijing.
