New York Daily News Cover Trolls Trump’s Charlottesville Response
The Daily News cover perfectly sums up Donald Trump’s response to Charlottesville’s violence.
Donald Trump’s response to the horrific white supremacist violence in Charlottesville over the weekend was universally condemned. And eventually, Trump made his way to a podium for a third (or was it a fourth time?) to read from teleprompter begrudgingly condemning racism.
Well, The New York Daily News cover Tuesday pretty much captures the moment perfectly.
The cover features an angry Trump with the headline saying, “I’m the real victim.”
Two subheads on the cover say, “Trump says ‘fake news’ forced him to call out Nazis” and “Protestors jeer Donald on first N.Y. homecoming.”
