Trump’s manufacturing council is falling apart.
Donald Trump’s manufacturing council is falling apart and he only has himself to blame. After failing to condemn white supremacist violence after the tragedy in Charlottesville, members of Trump’s manufacturing council have announced their resignation, citing Trump’s Charlottesville response – either explicitly or implicitly.
And now the president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing just dropped out too.
In a tweet Tuesday morning, Scott Paul said, “I’m resigning from the Manufacturing Jobs Initiative because it’s the right thing for me to do.”

The announcement came moments after Donald Trump tweeted an angry message calling the people who resigned from the council “grandstanders.”
The CEOs of Merck, Intel and Under Armor all announced Monday that they were resigning Trump’s manufacturing council after Charlottesville.
