More Charities Drop Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Because Of White Supremacist Defense Nonprofits are abandoning Trump.  The number of organizations that have canceled events at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort following his defense of white supremacists has grown to at least 20. Democrats’ attempt to retake the House in 2018 just got a bump from a massive fundraising haul in July. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) far out raised the Republicans fundraising arm in July. Democrats raised $6.3 million last month, compared to the $3.8 million brought in by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
