SCOTUS Denies GOP Attempt To Bring Back Pennsylvania Gerrymander Map Republicans appealed their gerrymander loss to the Supreme Court, but the high court wasn’t having it. The Supreme Court on Monday denied a Republican effort to block the new Pennsylvania Congressional district map. As a result of the Supreme Court’s ruling, the newly drawn map, drawn by Pennsylvania’s supreme court, will be in effect for the upcoming 2018 midterm elections.
