Mueller Just Filed New Charges Against Manafort, Gates The new charges were filed in a sealed court filing.  Special Counsel Robert Mueller has filed new charges in the criminal case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and campaign aide Rick Gates, Politico is reporting. And Democrats just picked up another special election win in a deep red Kentucky district. Democrat Linda Belcher reclaimed a seat in the Kentucky state House of Representatives that Trump won in 2016 by 49 points.
