Democrats Just Won A Huge Special Election Victory In Wisconsin
Democrats just flipped a Wisconsin state Senate seat.
The blue wave is still building.
Democrats on Tuesday were able to flip a state Senate seat in a Republican district.
According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Democrat Patty Schachtner defeated Republican state rep. Adam Jarchow in a special election.
The race was to fill a seat left open by a senator who left for a job in Governor Scott Walker’s.
The win is a considerable accomplishment for Democrats because the districted voted heavily for Donald Trump and Mitt Romney in the past two presidential elections.
The win in Wisconsin is just the latest example of Democrats flipping heavily Republican districts. Since Donald Trump was inaugurated, Schachtner’s win is the 34th district to flip from Republican-held to Democrat-held.
Democrats also won Governor races in Virginia and New Jersey as well as a Senate seat in Alabama.
