Trump Asked Acting FBI Director Who He Voted For: Report
The Washington Post just reported more evidence of Trump’s obstruction of justice in Russia investigation.
President Trump asked the then acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe who he voted for in the 2016 election during their first meeting after the firing of James Comey, according to The Washington Post.
The report notes that Trump invited McCabe to an Oval Office meeting after he fired former FBI Director James Comey last May, when McCabe was the acting FBI director.
The meeting took place just after Comey was fired.
The revelation that during the meeting Trump asked the acting FBI Director who he voted for is a potential new piece of evidence in an obstruction of justice case against the president.
According to the report, McCabe found the conversation to be “disturbing.”
Importantly, The Washington Post also notes that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is interested in the conversation as part of his investigation.
Trump also spoke poorly about McCabe’s wife who ran for office as a Democrat.
