NY Times: Mueller Has Major Obstruction Witness From Trump’s Legal Team

A new report indicates that Trump’s former legal team spokesman will testify about obstruction

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has an important new witness in the obstruction of justice case against President Trump.

According to the New York Times, Mark Corallo, the former spokesman for President Trump’s legal team, will testify to Special Counsel Robert Mueller that White House communications director Hope Hicks had planned to obstruct justice.

Corallo resigned last summer because of concerns that Trump and his aides were obstructing justice.

According to the bombshell report, Corallo will tell Mueller about a previously undisclosed phone call between President Trump and Hope Hicks that took place on Air Force One after Donald Trump Jr. and others met with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in 2016.

Corallo will testify that Hicks said during the call that emails from Trump Jr. about the meeting “will never get out,” making him believe that she and the President were planning to obstruct justice.

The report potentially provides insight into a conspiracy by the president and his team to withhold documents and other evidence from investigators.
