Three Lawyers For Rick Gates Just Quit The Russia Case
Could be a sign of a cooperation agreement.
Three attorneys informed a federal court Thursday they are immediately withdrawing as counsel for former Donald Trump campaign aide Rick Gates.
Gates has been charged by Special Counsel Mueller of money laundering and several other charges.
Reminder: There has been speculation in recent weeks that Gates has flipped and is now cooperating with the Special Counsel after hiring a veteran Washington lawyer known for negotiating plea deals.
And now we learn that three of Gates’ other lawyers have withdrawn from the case.

Originally, lawyers Shanlon Wu, Walter Mack and Annemarie McAvoy were hired to fight the charges against Gates.
In their brief, the attornies said they want to keep the reason for their departure under seal with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
