New Poll Finds The Republican Party’s Popularity ‘Is In Freefall’
There has been a massive shift by voters away from the GOP in just 7 months.
Almost two-thirds of the country, 64 percent, say America is on the wrong track.
The American people are incredibly unhappy with the job that Republican’s are doing, a new poll finds.
According to the new Suffolk University-USA Today poll, voters are increasingly looking to Democrats, not Republicans, to solve the problems facing the country.
The poll found that the Republican Party has a massive 62 percent unfavorable rating. That number is up from 48 percent unfavorable in March.
“The Republican Party is in freefall,” said Suffolk University poll director David Paleologos.
At the same time, 48 percent of voters have an unfavorable view of Democrats.
And voters have an equally unfavorable view of Donald Trump’s job performance.
According to the poll, Donald Trump’s unfavorable rating has climbed to 57 percent – up 2 points since the last poll.
And just 34 percent of voters view Donald Trump favorably.

And Americans increasingly think that the country is headed in the wrong direction. The poll found that 64 percent of voters feel the nation is going in the wrong direction, which is an 8 point jump since June.
Another striking number from the poll, Americans want Democrats to lead the effort to protect families when it comes to health care legislation.
Just 15 percent trust Donald Trump on health care while even less trust the Republican Party.
About the poll: The Suffolk University-USA Today poll was conducted from September 27 through October 1 and interviewed 1,000 likely voters by telephone. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.
