James Comey Just Responded To Andrew McCabe Being Pushed Out
The former FBI Director defends his deputy tweets that “small people” are trying to destroy FBI.
Former FBI Director James Comey responded Monday evening to his former deputy Andrew McCabe’s departure from the FBI. Comey posted his statement on Twitter, saying that “small people” are trying to destroy the FBI – a clear shot at Donald Trump.
Andrew McCabe was forced out as Deputy FBI Director after months of pressure and public attacks by President Trump.
Comey also had a messge to his former troops saying “I also wish continued strength for the rest of the FBI. America needs you.”
Here is James Comey’s full statement:
“Special Agent Andrew McCabe stood tall over the last 8 months, when small people were trying to tear down an institution we all depend on. He served with distinction for two decades. I wish Andy well. I also wish continued strength for the rest of the FBI. America needs you,” James Comey tweeted.
