POLL: West Virginians Like Democratic Senator More Than Trump Trump had his highest margin of victory in the 2016 election in West Virginia – winning nearly 69 percent of the vote there. However, he’s starting to lose support according to a MetroNews West Virginia poll – and the state’s Democratic Senator, Joe Manchin, is coming out ahead of Trump.
